Most Commented-on Entries

By browsing around and monitoring pages I've been able to keep track of which posts have the most comments, but I was looking for a better way to do this. I found some PHP to do that on Lynda's So Very Posh website. You can see the results at the bottom of the sidebar.

The script extracts trackback information to make the list, which caused me a little difficulty--I had to go through several of the early entries I made and turn trackback on in order for them to be included in the list (when danandsherree.com started I didn't have trackback turned on by default). That also screwed up the Recently Updated Articles list. I don't know if there is a reason for using the trackback title, description and URL rather than the entry title, excerpt and URL but that would have been a little more logical to use, I think. Maybe I'll have to explore it some more.
