My Name is Earl Review
Perhaps the fact that Jason Lee (Earl) is one of my favorite actors has skewed my opinion some, but I think My Name is Earl looks like it will be a great show. His deadpan-style comedic timing is great and further emphasized by his brother Randy's (Ethan Suplee) similar deadpan-timing, combined with running jokes ("crab man" and "tag") are just the kind of things to keep me entertained.
Of course, it's not funny without a good script--and My Name is Earl certainly had a good script. By quickly providing back- and front-story and location changes the show felt like it was progressing and telling a real story.
