Back to School!

If you regularly view this website, you know that my entries are far and few between. It's not because I don't want to post anything. In fact, my Girl Scouts are always asking when will they be able to see photos from their events. I know the excuse sounds old, but I'm just too busy!

For those of you who don't know, I decided to take a few courses at Tunxis Community College this semester on top of working full time and trying to keep up with my responsibilities in Bristol Girl Scouts. My first reason for taking classes was that at a graduate school open house I was urged to make up some general education credits that weren't required at North Central University where I earned my BA. The second reason was to try to get back into the swing of things like writing papers and reading textbooks (though I will admit that the reading part has always been thrown to the wayside for me).

So, I'm taking American History II. Primarily I wanted to learn more about the more recent history of our country. I'm pretty familiar with the early history up to the Civil War, so I figured I should actually take a class where I learn something. I am finding it very interesting, and the best part- there are no tests! I have 5 papers to turn in throughout the term, and I'm proud to say that I've gotten A+s on both the papers that I've turned in so far.

I'm also taking a Photography I class because I need an art class. Photography seemed like the best choice because I have Dan with all of his experience and my other option was drawing (and I draw crooked stick figures). I'm working on some posts of my photography assignments, so stay tuned!
