Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest Review

After Pirates of the Carribean: The Curse of the Black Pearl I thought it'd be hard to deliver a sequel of such high caliber, but Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Man's Chest does a pretty good job of delivering. The story was good, effects were great, and the ending will really pull you in! Well worth a trip to the theater for.

Of course, there were a few things we wanted more of: Sherree wanted to see more sword-fighting action. I wanted to see more crazy sword-fighting action, like on the water wheel, throughout the movie. I would've liked to see more of the Kraken, and more of Davy Jones' crew should have been less barnacled so we could see more detail. And it was a bit long, and slow in some spots. Still worth seeing, though.

Our favorite part of Dead Man's Chest was when Jack visits Tia Dalma. She asks, "what have you got to trade?" He shoots the monkey and exclaims, "look, an undead monkey!" Trust me, seeing it is funnier than reading it.
