Scrapbook Gifts

One of my projects for last Christmas was a Creative Memories Picfolio Minutes album, one for Dan's mom and one for his grandmother. At one point I asked to borrow old photos, then I just scanned them and scrapped two books.

I had decided to make the Picfolio Minute albums because there was a special package price on them that included a package of the Storybox Journal Boxes. The best part of these albums is that the cover folds in such a way to make a table top easel to display photos. When I bought them, these albums were new and seemed simple enough, but I came to find out that they do not fit my scrapbooking style.

I have to continually remind myself that Creative Memories is not a proponent of embellishments, especially ones that create dimension on a page. For the most part, my scrapping style is simplistic, and I do like to include themed embellishments on pages. I guess that I went overboard on the pages for the Picfolio album because as you can see by the photo, the magnetic clasp barely fits over itself. However, I wanted the books to be extra special, so I left my work of art intact hoping that the recipient would use it on the table top more than a brag book.
