Female Eastern Blue Bird

I captured this female eastern blue bird on 35 mm film in my parents’ yard, sometime in the late 1990s.

My Dad was out mowing the lawn when he spotted this female (and the mate). While mowing in a loop he realized that these two blue birds flew off when he got to a corner of the yard. After completing a few loops and seeing this repeated behavior he figured out that this must be a nesting pair in one of the blue bird houses. After sharing this story with me, I got out the camera and captured them!
