Drinking on his own

One of the things we’ve struggled with quite a bit is getting Patrick to hold his bottle or cup. He never held his bottle, and he wasn’t interested in holding his cup, either. We always had to hold it for him. We’d trying pulling his hands up to help, but he fought it.

We found out one day that at daycare, Patrick always grabs his cup and holds it on his own. Only one year old, and he’s already playing us! That night we stopped holding it for him, and he almost immediately took over doing it himself!
