Stars and Clouds

The other night I took a bunch of exposures to make a star trails photo. I found that I couldn’t use the last third of images because clouds were rolling in to the frame. I decided to try using those images to assemble a video of the star movement that would also show the clouds forming.

The part of this experiment that really grabbed me is how the stars move in one direction while the clouds move in a different direction. I think it’s a neat effect.
