Patrick’s First Fishing Trip

Last weekend Patrick and I visited my parents, who were camping at Highland campground. They have a small stocked pond there and both Patrick and my Dad were excited to try fishing there. (It’s a good thing my Dad is around to teach Patrick things like fishing because I have no knowledge or skill in that area!)

Patrick was able to catch three fish (Pumpkinseeds) pretty easily and he did a great job of turning the reel to pull them in. His inspiration was the episode of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Mickey Goes Fishing where Mickey talks about how to use the fishing pole: “turn, turn, turn!” Patrick repeated that each time when cranking the reel.
