Praying Mantises

While mowing the lower yard this evening I realized I was about to run over not one, but two mantises! I watched them for a few minutes, wishing I had my camera. I was sure that if I ran off to get it, when I returned they would be gone. But then, I realized I had my iPhone!

They blend in, so: in the photo above a brown mantis is on the left and a green one on the right. In the photo below the green one is in the foreground and the brown one is out of focus in the background.
