Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom Review

As much as I enjoy Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, it's my least favorite Indiana Jones movie. Though it does have its fun parts (the chase scene with Short Round driving springs to mind), this movie is a bit darker than Raiders of the Lost Ark or The Last Crusade (the heart/sacrifice scene, for example). So many elements of the movie (all three movies, even) are over the top--the punch sound, the whip, even the adventurous nature of archaeology--that the serious tone to Temple of Doom just doesn't seem quite right. That doesn't stop me from watching it, though!
