Mark Twain District Spring Camporee
This past weekend was the Mark Twain District's Spring Camporee. It was wet. Even in my Gore-Tex boots, pants, jacket and hat I was wet. At least my sleeping bag stayed dry. It wasn't a hard rain, just a constant rain. As you can tell from the photos, it was very foggy.
Memorable quote: "I think my membrane broke." (Bruce, referring to the Gore-Tex membrane of his boots.)
I helped run the Bomb Removal event, where Scouts held onto the end of ropes to stretch a giant rubber band over the "bomb" (a Folger's coffee can), then moved it into a bucket to "dispose" of it. A fun team-building game.
