The day after the dance we had our spring camp out. It was cold and rainy all day on Saturday. The girls were not excited at all about sleeping in a lean to, but as we promised them, they made it through the night. The girls who needed it earned the Camp Together badge and worked on parts of various other outdoor badges. Activities included crafts and capture the flag. We had tacos and spaghetti for lunch, foil dinners with choice of chicken or kielbasa for supper, and French toast, eggs, and bacon for breakfast.

We had two girls earn their Bronze Award this spring. They both completed the Pet Care and Sew Simple badges, a Sign Award, and their Junior Aide Award before beginning their project of creating blankets and catnip toys to donate to a local animal shelter. They got the idea from this website. Here are picures of them putting in their 15 hours of service on their project. I'm very proud of them both for all of their work!

We held our year end ceremony on May 31st. It included a flag ceremony, an investiture, a court of awards, a leader appreciation, a Bronze Award ceremony, and a bridging ceremony the girls wrote themselves.
