Paddling the Delaware River with Troop 29
I spent August 8-12, 2005, paddling down the Delaware River with Troop 29 and Pack Shack. We started at Port Jervis and ended at the Delaware Water Gap, for a total distance of about 52 miles.
I've been on the Delaware several times before, but it was still fun. We got to see quite a few Bald Eagles, Gray and Green Herons, Canada Geese, and Wood Ducks, and we had pretty nice weather. I think the big disappointment for me was all the haze. Exceptionally hazy conditions just made it difficult to get good photos.
