A Trip to Vermont
We spent October 28-30 in Vermont, just west of Montpelier, to go to the Essex Junction craft fair. Of course, we made a few other stops and saw some late-but-still-nice foliage.
As always, Pinball didn't want us to leave without her.
On our way up to Vermont, we made a stop in Springfield, Massachussets to see the Dr. Seuss National Memorial Sculpture Garden at the Springfield Museums. We walked into the science museum, went through the gift shop, and walked through the museum. Several of the museum staff said hello to us as we went through. We were the only ones walking around the museum, but didn't give it much thought. Near the end a security guard informed us that the museum was closed and we weren't supposed to be in there! The Dr. Seuss sculptures are neat, but definitely not worth a trip just to see them.
We met my parents up there (who were also going for the craft fair) and had dinner and talked a bit. We spent most of Saturday at the craft fair. Sunday, we went out to take a few photos and get some cheese from Shelburne Farms.
It was a great way to spend the weekend!

My sister lives in the historical Forest Park section of Springfeild, and the house that Dr. Suess grew up in is in her neighborhood.
If you go up there to Forest Park to see 'Bright Nights' during the holiday season, there is a lot of Dr. Suess themed animated lights.
