Survival Weekend Photos

This past weekend was "Survival Weekend." Last year it was an opportunity for Scouts to earn the Wilderness Survival merit badge. This time, however, it was a far less-formal, more-fun weekend where they slept under tarps rather than in tents. (I'll point out, though, that I was the only one to sleep in a tent. I earned that merit badge quite some time ago and have nothing to prove!)

I'd also like to point out that the Cast Iron Chef made the stew the adult leaders are stirring! Though you can't see them cooking, there were also cheddar-flavored biscuits to go with it. And yes, that's me making a rare appearance in a photo.
