The Nightmare Before Christmas in 3D Review
Over the weekend we saw the just-released 3D version of The Nightmare Before Christmas.
I've seen the movie quite a few times on the small screen (not in 3D, of course). I didn't see it in its initial release at the theater, so it was fun to go to the new release. We had to wear the special glasses for the whole movie because all of it was in 3D. In addition to the main characters popping off the screen, a lot of the background art also had some 3D effect to it--very cool.
Of course, The Nightmare Before Christmas was a great movie. Halloweentown is so gray and dingy that it makes Christmastown pop so much more and seem more interesting. The song "Kidnap the Sandy Claws" really is awful (like the line "Kidnap the Sandy Claws, beat him with a stick; Lock him up for ninety years, see what makes him tick!"). Lots of fun, though.
