Preparing

So much to do, so little time. It almost feels like we haven't done anything, and now there's even less time. Sigh.

Back when Sherree first wrote about getting started with the holiday season, I felt a little glimmer of hope that we'd get all of our normal Christmas stuff done without the usual panic that ensues. I was already thinking we had a lot to do and with Sherree working and in school full-time we'd have trouble doing all the fun stuff we usually do, but putting those shoe boxes together gave me a little sense of accomplishment.

But of course, we haven't made a whole lot of progress since then. We still don't have a tree, and Sherree hasn't made or sent any cards yet. But we've just watched National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation and Santa Claus is Comin' to Town, and have nearly finished shopping, so it's not all bad!
