2006 Christmas Card
In keeping with the the idea that we have to start getting ready for Christmas now, here is the card that I made last year. I posted some pictures of cards from previous years here.
The cover was stamped with a Santa from Stamps by Judith. I painted him in with Twinkling H2O paints from LuminArt. (They are great, but we have not had good experiences ordering directly from LuminArt. I would shop around and try to get them locally or through a different vendor.) After the paint dried, I tore the edges and burned them with the Creative HotMarks tool from Walnut Hollow. (They have a tip sheet for this tool on their website.) After gluing Santa to a card, I used a saying stamp below from Stamps N' More .
For the inside of the card, I used a train stamp from Stampendous's Retro Collection. I painted it in with the twinkling paints, cut it out, and mounted inside the card. Not as fancy as last year, but it still went over big!
What will this year's card hold? I'm thinking a tree theme with a Stampin' Up set that was retired a few years ago...
