Girl Scout Sunday 2008

Girl Scout Sunday is celebrated on the Sunday during the week of March 12, the birth of Girl Scouts. The past two years our troop has participated in the service at the church that hosts us, Prospect United Methodist Church.

This year the girls read a passage that I found that I would recommend to any other troop to use. To access it, go here and scroll down to Girl Scout Sunday or Week. Choose Girl Scout Sunday Responsive Reading (.pdf). When we presented it, one of the girls read the leader part and the others took turns reading the scripture parts.

After the service, we posed with Pastor Stevens for a photo opportunity. We also had a few extra scouts join us that morning!
