Bad bird photo: female cardinal, male red-bellied woodpecker, and male downy woodpecker
There’s no way around it, some photos I take are horrible. This was shot through the two windows (the dining room and porch) and a screen on the left side of that big heavy line in the middle. The birds are all clearly out of focus, and contrast is low. It’s terrible.
On the other hand in a moment that lasted a split second, I was able to grab three different birds in the frame, all in very close proximity to each other. The two woodpeckers are only about three feet apart, and the cardinal is about five feet behind them. It was really neat to see them all together.
