Burned-out Bearings

Last night while racing I got a piece of carpet wrapped around one of the axles of my Traxxas Slash 4x4. I took the wheel off to pull out the string of carpet and noticed that there was an awful lot of play in the hub carrier. Upon closer inspection the axle was freely moving in the hub carrier and I realized the bearings were simply gone! I pulled out the pieces of both the inner and out bearings in the hub carrier (yes, both bearings were destroyed), and this is all that was left.
