Firing a Trebuchet

We saw this trebuchet launching some softballs and Patrick was invited over to try firing it. Setting up wasn’t too exciting to him, but he waited patiently with a solid grip on the “firing rope.” When it was time, he helped set the firing pin in place, then stepped back and pulled the cord to launch the ball. It brought a smile to his face… even when the ball fired backwards!
