Recipe #3- Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

I regularly receive e-mails from King Arthur Flour. Who knows why and I’m sure that I’ve unsubscribed before, but they keep coming. Usually I just delete them without opening them. However, one email this week had a message that caught my eye- 2015 recipe of the year. That’s got to be good, right? Well, it was!

The page takes you to a recipe for oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. Dan likes these a lot and it’s been years since I’ve made them. Plus Patrick hasn’t been feeling well, so I justified making unhealthy snacks by saying it would help him feel better.

Overall, it is a basic and easy cookie recipe. The only thing that I would change is that I would use table salt instead of kosher salt next time. The kosher salt doesn’t dissolve into the dough and you can taste the chunks of salt in the cookie.

I baked about a dozen and a half, and froze the rest. :)
