Recipe #4- Tangy Slow Cooker Pork Roast
Today was one of those days where I had to cook a piece of meat that I pulled out the freezer a few days ago. A while back I bought a bone-in pork roast for a recipe not realizing that it needed to be boneless, so I just froze it. It stayed there. Then we moved, and it came to the new house in a cooler to be placed in the freezer here. It was time to tackle it.
The boys were at the train show all day and I was trying to be productive, so I decided to google a slow cooker recipe for the piece of meat. The Tangy Slow Cooker Pork Roast recipe sounded promising, and I had all of the pantry ingredients. I threw it together, and it would be ready when the boys came home.
We were disappointed in the lack of flavor of the meat. The onions and the “tangy” sauce flavors did not infuse it at all. Of course, that is probably why Patrick ate his meat with no complaint. Either way, it was disappointing. I’ll definitely make the time to prepare and bake it next time.
